Responsible to:     Pastor / Worship Committee

Membership:        Two or more persons, with one person chosen as chair at the

                            beginning of the term

Term of Office:     Elected by the congregation for a one-year term

Responsibilities:    Coordinate and direct the adult music program of the church.

1.  A representative of the team will meet regularly with the Worship Committee

     to plan the Sunday morning worship service.

2.  Direct singing for Sunday morning worship:

    a.  Choose a variety of music selections to meet the diverse needs of

         the congregation.

    b.  (Worship song leader) meet with the pastor and others prior to the morning

         worship service.

3.  Organize and direct the Sunday morning Worship Ensemble.

4.  Arrange for special music and offertory for worship service.

     

5.  Organize a choir and work with other departments in planning special

     programs such as Christmas and Easter.

6.  Care for hymnals and sheet music and maintain care of music room.

7.  Offer training to those persons who have interest in leading music.

8.  Encourage involvement in conference-wide musical events.

9.  Submit annual budget request for Music Department.

Note:  Others in the congregation may be delegated to share in leading music.
