ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE

Responsible to:      Pastoral Elders

Membership:         An Adult Christian Education Leader and 2 additional members

Term of Office:      All are elected by the congregation  for two-year terms on a rotating 

                                basis (2 elected one year, 1 the next year)

Responsibilities:      Provide leadership in the planning of the high school through adult

                                 Sunday School curriculum.

1.  Plan the specific curriculum of the high school through adult Sunday School classes.

2.  Appoint teachers for each class.

3.  Order materials for all classes through the Church Secretary.

4.  Distribute materials to teachers and store or dispose of unused materials.

5.  Obtain miscellaneous supplies for teachers as needed.

6.  Meet on a regular basis for long-range curriculum planning.

7.  Encourage teachers' participation in educational training opportunities.

8.  Communicate with teachers to share concerns, vision and goals.

9.  Submit annual budget request for Adult & Youth Education.

10.  Adult Leader is a member of the Leadership Board.
