Responsible to:Board of Pastoral Elders

Membership:Minimum of 3 members elected by the congregation.  Pastor of Youth Ministries attends all meetings.

Term of Office: Elected by the congregation for 2-year terms.

Responsibilities: Advise the Pastor of Youth Ministries regarding Jr. youth and MYF programming; serve as    and/or recruit chaperones as needed.

   

1.Meet regularly to provide guidance, support, and planning assistance to the Pastor of Youth Ministries.

2.Chaperone youth activities as needed.

3.Attend and/or assist in recruiting other adults to attend youth retreats and conventions.

4.Establish mentoring relationships for youth.

5.Substitute for the Pastor of Youth Ministries in leading youth activities if/when needed.

6.Determine which youth and young adults are eligible for college tuition assistance.  Contact the schools to determine the deadlines for submitting names of students and sending monetary assistance.  Work with the treasurer to ensure the funds are disbursed in a timely manner.

7.In the event of a vacancy in Pastor of Youth Ministries position, search for and recommend an appropriate candidate in coordination with the congregational chairperson.
